What is a "Polygraph Examination"?
Often called a "Lie Detector Test", a polygraph examination is an interview which includes an instrument that is a sophisticated set of medical devices combined into one diagnostic devise. This instrument records very tiny - but measurable - changes in a person's thoracic breathing, abdominal breathing, blood volume, blood pressure, pulse rate, galvanic skin response and other involuntary physiological measurements These are changes that a person has no control over, most being emitted from the sympathetic nervous system. US Government studies have proven these measurements to be the most reliable and accurate method of obtaining the truth, typically with 95% accuracy. |
